Sublette County residents, concerned about the welfare and future of the community, gathered in 2005. The groups discussions led to the creation of the Sublette Group for Community Initiative (a 501(c)3 non-profit) with the Vision Statement, “To promote stewardship in a growing and cohesive community.” The groups Mission Statement is, “Encourage practical action to strengthen and bind our community physically, socially and economically.” More recently, the group took on the Path of the Pronghorn project resulting in the bronze statues of migrating pronghorn. The public art pieces, located in Pinedale’s American Legion Park, celebrate the pronghorn migration through Sublette County.
SGCI or Sublette Group for Community Intiative is a 501(c)3 non-profit founded by Ann Chambers Noble. SGCI was set-up with the intention of having a general non-profit available to house exciting community projects that did not have home (fit under an existing organization).
